Ferraris led the way at Bonhams Zoute Grand Prix Sale on 9 October; a 599 SA Aperta, one of only examples built, sold for €891,250 (estimate €800,000 – 1,200,000) and a 1971 365 GTB/4 made €828,000 (estimate €750,000 – 950,000).
Supercars finding new homes included; a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT which sold for €644,000 (estimate €650,000 – 950,000); a 1980 BMW M1 fetched €465,750 (estimate €450,000 – 650,000); a 1992 Jaguar XJ220 made €437,000 (estimate €280,000 – 420,000); and a 2005 Ford GT sold for €373,750 (estimate €300,000 – 400,000). Highlights among the classic cars on offer included a 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Flat Floor Roadster, with external bonnet lock, which made €281,750 (estimate €190,000 – 260,000), a 1966 Maserati Sebring 3.7 selling for €270,250 (estimate €265,000 – 315,000) and the 1967 Citroën DS 21 Décapotable achieved €172,500 (estimate €120,000 – 180,000).
A 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Cabriolet, one of only 63 examples built, was the top lot at Auctionata’s October sale, fetching €414,000 (estimate €400,000 – 500,000). Other highlights included; a 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster which sold for €97,750 (estimate €90,000 – 110,000); a 1990 BMW Z1, showing 27,000km and in single-family ownership from new, which took €34,500 (estimate €32,000 – 34,000); and a 44,945-km 1971 BMW 2002 realised €16,100 (estimate €15,000 – 18,000).
