Aguttes’ 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GT from the Pierre Brignole collection didn’t disappoint on the day, finding a new home at €235,000 (estimate €250,000 – 360,000).
Top result at the 9 November sale in Lyon went to a manual gearbox two-owner 2005 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 580 Roadster with 28,200km which fetched €265,824 (estimate €250,000 – 350,000).
Homegrown highlights included a 1959 Renault Frégate Décapotable by Chapron at €118,324 (estimate €100,000 – 150,000); an 83,000-km 1983 Renault 5 Turbo 2 which drew €67,584 (estimate €65,000 – 85,000); and a three-owner 1987 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 showing less than 6,800km achieved €47,524 (estimate €28,000 – 40,000).
Elsewhere a 1995 BMW M5 Touring smashed its €28,000 – 40,000 pre-sale estimate, raising €53,445. One of just 209 final run 3.8 litre ‘Evo’ examples produced, it was delivered new in Germany where it remained until imported into France in 2008 and displayed some 162,000km as it crossed the block.
November’s run of success for Ferrari Dinos continued following day at Osenat, where a four-owner 86,000-km 1975 246 GT headed the results, taking €240,000 (estimate €250,000 – 300,000); while the top three was rounded off with a two-owner 1968 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 at €234,000 (estimate €230,000 – 280,000) and a 60,000-mile two-owner 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Coupe, which began life in the US, bringing €98,400 (estimate €80,000 – 100,000).
