Artcurial closed its year with the 11th Automobiles sur les Champs sale in Paris on 5 November. Star attraction was the ex- Jo Siffert 1925 Bugatti Type 35 which blitzed its €1,000,000 – 1,350,000 estimate, selling for €1,438,880.

Rounding off the top five results; a left-hand drive 1954 Bentley Continental R took €792,280 (estimate €800,000 – 1,000,000); a 1985 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S, in single-family ownership since 1989, sold for €250,320 (estimate €250,000 – 300,000); a 1965 Lancia Flaminia Zagato Super Sport made €220,520 (estimate €160,000 – 240,000); with the 1896 Peugeot 3.3/4 HP (estimate €60,000 – 80,000) and a 1968 Citroën DS 21 Cabriolet (estimate €180,000 – 225,000) each drawing €208,600.

Other highlights included a 209-km 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 at a mid-estimate €184,760; a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220 S Cabriolet – in single ownership until 2001 – at €145,424 (estimate €95,000 – 125,000); and a recently restored 1968 Renault 8 Gordini fetched €71,520 (estimate €40,000 – 60,000).
Artcurial reported a sale total of €5.75 million and a 75% sell-through.
