Osenat held two sales over the weekend of 18-19 March, kicking off with the predominantly Citroën based Perinet-Marquet Collection. Top lot was a 1969 Citroën DS 21 Cabriolet Usine which sold for €120,000 (estimate €110,000 – 150,000).
Other highlights included a 1955 Citroën 15/6 Traction which fetched €33,600 (estimate €30,000 – 35,000); a 1972 Citroën SM made €27,600 (estimate €15,000 – 20,000); a 1973 Citroën DS 23 Break took €14,400 (estimate €15,000 – 20,000); and a Peugeot 304 S cabriolet sold for €11,040 (estimate €10,000 – 12,000).
Strong results from the pre-war cars on offer at Osenat’s second sale the following day included a 1932 Chrysler Imperial Custom going for €324,000 – over double its upper estimate; a 1922 Salmson AL3 GSS Course just pipped its lower estimate, selling for €156,000; and 1903 Clément-Bayard Type B smashed its €40,000 – 60,000 estimate, achieving €108,000.
Other notable sales included a 1965 Volvo P1800 S at €51,600 (estimate €40,000 – 50,000); a 1967 Porsche 912 Targa at €48,000 (estimate €40,000 – 50,000); a 1956 Renault Frégate Coupe Chapron at €38,400 (estimate €16,000 – 21,000); and a 1966 Matra Djet VS at €37,200 (estimate €30,000 – 40,000).
Star performer at Classicbid’s Retro Classics sale on 3 March was a two-owner 34,600-km 1987 Ferrari Testarossa at €112,000 (estimate €105,000); while a three-owner 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL realised €93,500 (estimate €115,000), and a 100,905-km 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL sold for €29,500 (estimate €25,000).
