Oldtimer Galerie’s Dolder Classics auction took place on 11 June in Zurich, where the headline sale was a 1952 Aston Martin DB2, uprated to Vantage spec, which just crept over its high estimate, to fetch €476,000.
Other notable highlights included; a 1964 Maserati Mistral, uprated to a 4-litre engine with a 5-speed gearbox in 1967, and owned by the vendor since 1987, sold for €156,800 (estimate €95,000 – 125,000); a 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Roadster at €140,000 (estimate €125,000 – 135,000); and a 1966 Lancia Flaminia 3C 2800 Supersport Zagato went for over €100,000 above its low estimate, changing hands for €380,800.
A Porsche 914/6 was the top lot at Stanislas Machoïr’s 5 June sale, achieving €55,000 against its pre-sale estimate of €50,000 – 60,000.
Star performer among no fewer than 15 Ferraris going under the hammer at Auctionata’s 11 June sale was an 8,596-km 2014 458 Speciale, which brought €258,591 (estimate €340,000).
Osenat’s Fontainbleau sale on 19 June sale included a 1939 Delahaye 135 M Cabriolet by Chapron – their top sale of the day at €324,000 (estimate €250,000 – 300,000); and a Delage D8, believed to have been converted from a saloon to its present pickup-truck bodywork in the ‘50s, which made €61,200 – over double its high estimate.
Elsewhere, a 1953 Jaguar XK 120 DHC sold for €84,000 (estimate €80,000 – 100,000); a 1964 Ferrari 330 GT, owned by the vendor since 1990, took €300,000; and a recently restored Maserati Ghibli found a new home for a mid-estimate €258,000.
