A three-owner 1994 Porsche 911 Speedster with 52,000km from new, and one of just 936 examples built, was the star performer at Coys’ Grande Marques auction at Interclassics Maasstricht, selling for €187,990 (estimate €150,000 – 180,000). Other Porsche success included a 1960 356B 1600S Cabriolet, delivered new to the USA, which fetched €131,940 (estimate €120,000 – 150,000), and a Cassis Red 1987 911 Turbo which has covered less than 21,000 miles from new, sold for an above-estimate €126,355 (estimate €110,000 – 120,000).
Elsewhere, other strong results included; a 25,750-mile 1999 Ferrari 456M GTA which easily beat its pre-sale estimate, fetching €69,164 (estimate €55,000 – 65,000); a 1983 Ferrari 400i, first owned by King Hussein of Jordan, achieved €72,527 (estimate €60,000 – 70,000); and a 1952 Mercedes-Benz 220 A Cabriolet, from a Swiss collection, brought €144,271 (estimate €90,000 – 130,000)
