The surge in values for Ferrari Testarossa’s in recent months continues; Silverstone Auctions’ 1991 left-hand drive example with 1,545km easily beat its pre-sale estimate of £130,000 – 150,000, selling for £202,500. Other low mileage cars included an 808-km 1991 Alfa Romeo SZ which made £84,938 (estimate £50,000 – 70,000) and a 1999 Ferrari 456M which has only covered 400 miles found a new home for £118,125 (estimate £75,000 – 90,000). Elsewhere, a 1988 BMW M3 Evo II, one of only 500 built fetched £48,938, whilst a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 sold for £186,750.


Barons’ February sale included two Jaguar E-Types; a 1970 Series II 2+2 sold for £30,000 against a pre-sale estimate of £32,000 – 37,000; and a 1966 Series I 4.2 with an estimate of £30,000 – 45,000 made £29,000. Star lot at Charterhouse’s sale was a 1934 Bentley 3½ Litre Eddie Hall TT replica special, selling for £59,000, whilst a modified 1970 Velar pre-production Range Rover changed hands for £23,000.

A 1998 BMW Z3M Coupe with only 45,000 recorded miles fetched £26,320 at H&H’s sale, and a recently restored 1960 Land Rover Series II 88" sold for £11,760. Top lot at Richard Edmonds’ sale was a 1955 Jaguar XK 140, selling for £50,000.
