A highly-optioned 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition with one owner and less than 1,000 miles from new posted the top result at Bonhams’ Supercars on Sunset sale, making $900,000 (estimate $950,000 – 1,100,000).
The sale also featured a unique wing-less 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS originally owned by the comedian and legendary Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld, who specified it with more than $250,000 in options and Special Wishes, lifting its retail price to close on $450,000. Barely-used with only 1,500 miles on the clock, it sailed past its $290,000 – 330,000 pre-sale estimate, finding a new home at $356,400.

Success among the American machinery on offer at RM Sotheby’s timed online sale included a 48,270-mile 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L89 Convertible at $176,000 (estimate $150,000 – 175,000) and a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Fastback from a private collection at $148,500 (estimate $160,000 – 180,000); while a 1981 Porsche RUF BTR was the star performer, determined bidding bringing a final price of $176,000 – nearly double its lower estimate.
