The three significant Ferraris at Coys’ Techno Classica sale on 9 April all posted above-estimate results; a 1968 330 GTC made €719,135 (estimate €600,000 – 700,000); a 30,000-km 1983 512 BBi, owned from new until 2003 by the President of Ferrari Club Germany, brought €293,915 (€290,000 – 320,000); and a 1967 330 GT 2+2, repainted in 2015, took €305,105 (€280,000 – 300,000).
Elsewhere, a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Targa Anniversary, built to mark the Company’s 25th Anniversary, sold for €226,775. One of just 16 Carrera Targas produced, out of a limited production run of 400 examples, the car has only covered some 700km since a recent comprehensive restoration.
Other highlights included; a 27,000-mile 1959 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider, laid up in a garage in Texas since 1971 until purchased by the vendor, sold for €58,925 (estimate €45,000 – 55,000); a one-owner 1959 Facel Vega Excellence, showing just 46,000km from new, made bang on its low estimate at €160,000; the ex-Aga Khan 1966 Maserati Quattroporte fetched €86,900 (estimate €85,000 – 95,000); and a 51,000-mile BMW 2002 turbo achieved €64,000 (estimate €65,000 – 75,000).
Star lot at Auctionata’s 22 April sale was the ex-Marc Gene/Vitali Petrov 2006 Ferrari F430 GT3, which changed hands for €103,500 (estimate €100,000). Converted in 2007 from a Ferrari Challenge car to GT3 spec, period success included the Spanish GTS class titles in 2007 and 2008.
Highlights among the '80s and '90s cars going across the block at Stanislas Machoïr’s 24 April sale was a 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet which sold for €85,000 (estimate €90,000 – 120,000); a 1990 BMW M3 Sport achieved €76,000 (estimate €80,000 – 100,000); and a 1989 Porsche 928 S4 made a low-estimate €22,000.
