A 1932 Bugatti Type 49 is the star attraction at The Finest Automobile Auctions’ Aspen Snowmass sale on 17 September, with a pre-sale estimate of $550,000 – 700,000. Chassis number 49369 has been owned by the vendor since 1980, and has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration which was completed in 2014, since when the car has covered some 2,000 miles.
Other notable entries include a 2005 Ferrari 575M Superamerica, showing less than 3,700 miles on its odometer (estimate $490,000 – 550,000); a 1964 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 (estimate $275,000 – 375,000); a 2003 BMW Z8 Alpina (estimate $295,000 – 320,000); and a 7,829-mile 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB (estimate $275,000 – 300,000).
Also set to go under the hammer is a 1924 Amilcar CGS3 (estimate $110,000 – 125,000); a 1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal with no reserve; a 1956 Austin-Healey 100M Le Mans (estimate $185,000 – 200,000); and a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 Coupe with continuous provenance from new (estimate $125,000 – 150,000).
