Bonhams returns to Knokke-Heist in Belgium for The Zoute Sale on 7 October where the top lot is a 1966 Lamborghini 350 GT, estimated at €600,000 – 800,000. Delivered new to France, the car was restored eight years ago and is one of around 120 examples built.
Highlights among the Porsches on offer include the ex-Derek Bell 1987 928 'Prototype' Club Sport, one of only five prototype Club Sports built for Porsche's factory drivers (estimate €225,000 – 265,000); a 52-km 2016 911 R, number 135 from a production run of 991 cars (estimate €250,000 – 350,000); and a 1955 356 Pre-A Speedster (estimate €350,000 – 550,000).
Elsewhere, notable entries include an unrestored 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL with a five-speed manual gearbox (estimate €200,000 – 300,000); a three-owner 1964 Citroën DS 19 Décapotable (estimate €135,000 – 175,000); a 1963 Maserati Sebring Series I, one of 591 produced (estimate €260,000 – 320,000); and a 1937 AC 16/80hp Short Chassis, one of just 40 examples of the 16/80hp model (estimate €240,000 – 300,000).
A 52,304-km 1992 Porsche 911 Speedster Prototype with an estimate of €240,000 – 300,000 will go under the hammer at Auctionata on 8 October. The sale also features a 1964 Peugeot 404 Injection Coupé, recently restored over a period of three and a half years (estimate €48,000 – 60,000).
Coys 8 October sale at Mondial de l’Automobile includes a two-owner 1990 Lamborghini Countach Anniversary, which has covered just 625km from new, with a pre-sale estimate of €325,000 – 365,000.
Other highlights include a 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo S, number 7 in a limited run of 10 ‘Sonauto’ examples built to mark the end of the 930 Turbo (estimate €520,000 – 560,000); a 1926 Bentley 3 Litre Short Chassis Sports Tourer, with original Vanden Plas coachwork (estimate €420,000 – 450,000); and a one-owner 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta (estimate €380,000 – 420,000).
80 motor cars from the André Weber collection are set to go across the block at Artcurial’s ‘On the Road’ sale on 9 October at Château-sur-Epte, France. American cars dominate the entries, headed by a 1932 Packard 904 Victoria Convertible with a pre-sale estimate of €50,000 – 80,000. European cars on offer include a 1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith (estimate €30,000 – 40,000); a 1960 Simca Plein Ciel Coupe (estimate €20,000 – 30,000); and a Talbot T120, built circa 1935 (estimate €20,000 – 30,000). All cars in the collection will require recommissioning.
Porsches top the entries at Classicbid’s 15 October sale, with a 47,400-km 1988 911 Turbo estimated at €124,000 and a 1993 911 Jubi estimated at €108,000. Other highlights among the Mercedes-Benz include three cars that spent the majority of their life in the US; a 1965 220 SEb Convertible (estimate €71,200); a 1958 220 S (estimate €55,600); and a 1969 280 SL (estimate €55,600).
A 1991 Ferrari F40 heads the entry list at Auctionata’s ‘Classic & Race Cars’ sale on 29 October. The two-owner car shows 16,243km on the odometer and has a pre-sale estimate of €1,300,000. Other highlights include a 2,159-km 1983 De Tomaso Pantera GT5, estimated at €190,000; a restored 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL (estimate €240,000); a 7,480-km 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (estimate €900,000); and a 1972 Intermeccanica Indra (estimate €85,000).
Racing cars on offer include a 1984 March 84G IMSA GTP, a veteran of four Daytona 24 hour races, estimated at €400,000; a Jägermeister-liveried 1976 Porsche 934 Turbo Replica (estimate €280,000); and a 1972 Lola T310 (estimate €360,000).
Artcurial’s 10th ‘Automobile sur les Champs’ sale takes place in Paris on 30 October. Star attraction is a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, built for the 1964 Paris Motor Show, with a pre-sale estimate of €550,000 – 650,000.
The sale also features a 1964 Alpine M64, the last of the three examples built. Following its racing success, which included class wins at the 1964 Le Mans 24 Hours and Reims 12 Hours, chassis number 1711 was used by the factory as a prototype to develop the M65 (A210). Recently restored back to M64 specifications – but retaining the rear section that was used on the A210 – the car is estimated at €330,000 – 380,000.
