Bonhams annual Zoute Grand Prix sale takes place on 9 October at the Belgian seaside resort of Knokke-Le-Zoute, with a mix of classics and modern sports cars on offer. Of the ten Ferraris to go under the hammer, the 2011 599 SA Aperta leads the way. One of only 80 examples built it carries a pre-sale estimate of €800,000 – 1,200,000.
Elsewhere, a 1980 BMW M1 is offered with an estimate of €450,000 - 650,000, a 2005 Ford GT at €300,000 - 400,000, and a 1,080-km 1992 Jaguar XJ220 has a pre-sale estimate of €280,000 - 420,000. Other highlights in the classic offering include; a 1958 Lancia Aurelia B20 S GT (estimate €130,000 – 180,000); a 1967 Citroën DS 21 Décapotable (estimate €120,000 – 180,000); and a 1966 Maserati Sebring 3.7-Litre Coupé, one of only 591 produced (estimate €265,000 – 315,000).
Star attraction at Auctionata’s 10 October sale is a 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Cabriolet with a pre-sale estimate of €400,000 – 500,000. The car comes from an Austrian collection and is believed to be one of only 63 short wheelbase two-seater convertibles built since the war.
