Historics at Brooklands’ legendary setting provides the perfect stage for the sale of its 1929 Bentley 4½ litre on 25 November (estimate £750,000 – 875,000). ‘GE 3769’ began life as a four-seat sports tourer prior to its more recent transformation in to a replica of the famous ‘Birkin’ Blower Bentley.
Early entries also include a 1953 Bentley R-Type Continental Mulliner-style Fastback, built by Racing Green Engineering in 2017 (estimate £230,000 – 260,000); a 1954 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster, the subject of a recently completed eight-year restoration at a cost of some £200,000 (estimate £90,000 – 120,000); a right-hand drive 13,622-km 1994 Lamborghini Diablo VT (estimate £130,000 – 160,000); and a 1973 Aston Martin Vantage, one of just 70 produced (estimate £82,000 – 95,000).

A 1980 BMW Alpina B7 Turbo in need of restoration has been consigned to ACA’s 4 November auction with a pre-sale estimate of £30,000 – 40,000. One of only 149 produced, this left-hand drive example started its life in Germany prior to being exported to Japan in 1986. The car currently displays 61,563km, although there appears to be no history to support the mileage it is described as being complete and running.
Charterhouse will offer a 1960 Jensen 541R at its sale on 5 November which has been in single-family ownership since 1970. The car requires recommissioning following seven years dry-storage and is estimated at £20,000 – 25,000.

Other fast Fords on offer include three low-mileage queens; a 1988 Sierra Cosworth RS 500 with a shade over 6,000 miles from new (estimate £100,000 – 115,000); an 837-mile 1996 Escort Cosworth (estimate £85,000 – 95,000); and a three-owner 1980 Escort RS2000 Custom which has covered just 927 miles (estimate £80,000 – 90,000).
Aston Martins feature prominently at H&H’s Imperial War Museum sale on 15 November, two of which have been recently restored by Warren Classics; a 1980 V8 Volante and a 1972 V8, both with estimates of £170,000 – 190,000.
A 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Roadster is set to go under the hammer at Brightwells on 29 November, with a pre-sale estimate of £45,000 – 55,000. Upgraded by the vendor during his 18 year ownership, the car’s MOT ran out in 2016 and it is catalogued as now being in need of some remedial work and restoration.
