A 1925 Bugatti Type 35 that was once owned by the Swiss driver Jo Siffert heads the entries at Artcurial’s 11th Automobiles sur les Champs sale in Paris on 5 November, with an estimate of €1,000,000 – 1,350,000.
Other French machinery on offer includes a 1968 Citroën DS 21 ‘factory’ cabriolet, the subject of a recent four-year restoration (estimate €180,000 – 225,000); a time-warp 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 which has covered just 209km from new; and a 1968 Renault 8 Gordini which emerged from a €35,000 restoration in 2016 (estimate €40,000 – 60,000).
Elsewhere, notable highlights include a 1954 Bentley Continental R by H.J. Mulliner, one of 43 left-hand drive examples built (estimate €800,000 – 1,000,000); a 2005 Ferrari 575M Superamerica with less than 4,000km displayed (estimate €310,000 – 380,000); and a 1965 Lancia Flaminia Zagato Super Sport, owned by the vendor for 35 years (estimate €160,000 – 240,000).
A 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT showing 44,428km tops the inventory at Osenat’s Salon Époque'Auto sale on 12 November with an estimate of €240,000 – 260,000; while a 1938 Talbot T15 Baby Cabriolet is estimated at €200,000 – 250,000 and a 1970 Alpine A110 1600S Group 4 with period competition history in the hands of Jean Saurel carries a guide of €120,000 – 150,000.
