Leigh and Leslie Keno, the brothers better known as art and antiques experts, will hold their inaugural sale on 19 November in New York. Star attraction at the sale, entitled ‘Rolling Sculpture’, is a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 N.A.R.T. Competizione with a pre-sale estimate of $4,900,000 – 5,900,000. Chassis number 12467 enjoyed period racing success including an incredible 5th place overall finish in the hands of Luigi Chinetti Jr. and Bob Grossman at the 1971 Le Mans 24 Hour race, having started at the back of the grid.
Other notable lots include a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S (estimate $800,000 – 1,600,000), a 1953 Ferrari 212 Inter (estimate $1,300,000 – 1,900,000) and a 7,000-mile 1990 Ferrari F40 (estimate $1,100,000 – 1,600,000).
Elsewhere a 1934 Duesenberg Model SJ Continental Touring carries a pre-sale estimate of $950,000 – 1,100,000 whilst an ex-Steve McQueen 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 is estimated at $480,000 – 650,000.
