Bonhams returns to the F1 grid on 4 May when it brings 23 cars to its inaugural Miami sale, following on from last year’s auction accompanying the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The catalogue’s polesitter is a 2019 Bugatti Chiron with 1,300 miles which is estimated at $3,100,000 – 3,600,000; while a unique 121-mile 2011 Ferrari SP30 (estimate $2,250,000 – 2,750,000) and a 12,437-mile 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport (estimate $1,600,000 – 2,000,000) – one of 11 roadsters supplied to the US – round out the top three.
A rare 2019 Porsche 935 joins the line-up, one of only 77 built, it has been barely used with only 44 miles and comes with the desirable $44,000 factory spares package (estimate $1,675,000 – 2,000,000).

Mecum’s mammoth nine-day Indy sale kicks off on 10 May with a 3,000-car inventory. Star attraction among the second batch of cars being sold from the Apex Collection is a 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra, offered in an original unmodified condition, it is one of only 100 427s with factory dual carburettors and has covered just 18,066 miles from new.
The full set of 5 Ferrari halo cars will go under the hammer as part of RM Sotheby’s single-owner Dare to Dream sale in Toronto from 31 May-1 June. Amassed by Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist Miles Nadal and displayed in his private museum, the F50 is a European-spec car with 20,910km (estimate $3,800,000 – 4,500,000) and the 8,607-km US-delivered Enzo carries a guide of $3,750,000 – 4,250,000. The collection’s LaFerrari is a two-owner Canadian-market car showing 2,842km (estimate $3,850,000 – 4,250,000), its 288 GTO with 26,617km is expected to fetch $3,750,000 – 4,000,000, and the F40 is a European ‘non-cat non-adjust’ car with only 1,606km (estimate $2,750,000 – 3,250,000).
With all 81 cars being sold at no reserve and proceeds going to charity there has been plenty of pre-auction interest. Other notable blue-chips in the collection include a 1955 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing (estimate $1,600,000 – 2,000,000) and its Roadster partner (estimate $1,500,000 – 1,800,000) – both matching-numbers cars – and a 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV that was restored by renowned marque specialists Cremonini in 2015 (estimate $2,750,000 – 3,500,000).
