RM Sotheby’s launches a new event on its UK calendar on 12 June at Cliveden House, set in fabulous grounds high above the Thames on the Bucks/Berks border. Sixties Ferraris are well represented with a 250 GT SWB top of the pile. Estimated to fetch £5,000,000 – 6,000,000, it has matching-numbers chassis and engine, a history documented by Marcel Massini, and underwent a restoration in 2009 at Carrozzeria Autosport, after which it was granted Ferrari Classiche certification.
The unique 1963 250 GT/L on offer was originally owned by Luciano Pederzani, co-founder of the Tecno Formula 1 team, who commissioned Fantuzzi to modify the bodywork along the lines of the 330 LMB. Restored by renowned marque experts DK Engineering in 2011, it subsequently formed part of Chris Evans’ collection before passing to the consignor in 2015 (estimate £1,100,000 – 1,500,000).
A 2014 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse joins the line-up with a pre-sale estimate of £2,000,000 – 2,500,000. One of only 92 produced, it has covered 4,085km in the hands of two owners and has recently been serviced by Bugatti at a cost in excess of £27,000.

Iconic Auctioneers are also heading to a new venue with a boutique ‘Lifestyle’ sale accompanying the London Concours on 5 June. A 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Volante heads the catalogue, guided at £550,000 – 650,000. Upgraded by Aston Martin Works to Vantage spec in the early 1980s, it returned to the factory in 2018 where it was used to promote and develop their fully reversible EV powertrain, before the original engine was refitted in 2019 – the quality of the work being rewarded with a class win at the AMOC Concours d’Elegance.
