Among the early entries announced for Oldtimer Galerie’s Dolder sale in Zürich on 16 June is a 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Boano. The low-roof alloy-bodied example spent its early life in the US, prior to being imported into Switzerland in 1997 – joining the current owner’s car museum in Istanbul in 1999.
Other Italian machinery on offer includes a 1973 Alfa Romeo Montreal (estimate CHF75,000 – 85,000); a 1966 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 which received a mechanical overhaul by the renowned French Lamborghini specialist Edmond Ciclet, and more recently a repaint by Carrosserie Binggeli of Nyon; and a 1964 Maserati Mistral 3700 Spyder which has resided with the same family since 1971.
Bonhams will sell the entire contents of the Den Hartogh Museum in The Netherlands on 23 June 2018. Piet den Hartogh has amassed what is believed to be the largest collection of Fords in the world, and the sale will see more than 200 Ford and Lincoln motor cars and commercial vehicles cross the block – all offered without reserve. Jewel in the collection is a 1906 Ford Model K Open Tourer, with a pre-sale estimate of €200,000 – 300,000.
Notable highlights include a 1937 Ford 790 ‘Woodie’ Station Wagon (estimate €60,000 – 80,000); a 1903 Ford Model A Open Tourer (estimate €55,000 – 70,000); and a 1931 Ford Model AA Type 82B petrol tanker (estimate €30,000 – 45,000).
