The first Prodrive P25 to be offered at a public auction goes under the hammer at Iconic’s Race Retro sale on 22 February. Serial number 001 of just 25 examples built, it comes with £17,000 worth of extras on top of its £552,000 list price and is being sold by its original owner with only 121 miles on the clock (estimate on request).
A one-of-20 1986 Ford RS200 S has also been consigned from the same collection, again barely used, it has covered 1,404 miles from new and has recently undergone £70,000 in recommissioning works at Tolman (estimate £350,000 – 400,000).
The catalogue features three cars with £1million estimates, a 2019 McLaren Senna, the first built, 1,030 miles and a huge list of MSO options; a 3,413-mile 2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition, single owner and one of only two UK-delivered cars; and a 2018 Bentley Continental GT3-R, built by the factory for the 2021 Pikes Peak Hill Climb using the 2019 Time Attack Championship-winning car.
Another rare sight at auction is the ultimate iteration of Mercedes’ CLK63 AMG – the Black Series. Iconic’s example is an original right-hand drive UK-supplied car and comes from a private collection with 24,600 miles (estimate £100,000 – 120,000).

A 1985 Aston Martin V8 Volante heads the inventory at H&H’s opening sale of the year in Buxton on 12 February. Presented in its original scheme of Forest Green over beige leather, it has covered 49,000 miles and of one its previous custodians was the Chairman of the Aston Martin Owner’s Club (estimate £110,000 – 130,000).
Other highlights include a 1977 Talbot Sunbeam Ti ex-Works Rally Car, the subject of a recent engine overhaul (estimate £35,000 – 45,000); a no-reserve 1971 Jaguar E-Type V12 Coupe with under 28,000 miles; and a unique Mercedes that stared life in 1980 as a 380 SLC, before a 320bhp 5.6 litre engine upgrade by an ex-main dealer and marque specialist in 1987 (estimate £25,000 – 30,000).
