The Newport Pagnell Collection will take centre stage at Aguttes’ Autumn sale in Paris on 1 December. Jewel in the five-car collection for classic enthusiasts is a 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible, one of only 70 produced, it was converted to left-hand drive during a two-year £100,000 restoration in the mid-2000s and is guided at €900,000 – 1,200,000.
The collection’s barely-used 2020 Aston Martin V12 Speedster has covered around 200km from new and is one of only a few ‘Maverick Editions’ built (estimate €800,000 – 1,200,000), while the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 on offer is a matching-numbers right-hand drive car that was restored from 2006-07 during a previous owners’ 30+ year stewardship (estimate €700,000 – 900,000).
Elsewhere, the line-up also features one of the most famous cars to take part in the early days of the Paris-Dakar rally – the ‘Jules’-liveried Rolls-Royce Prototype. Built for the 1981 event using a donor Corniche with bespoke plastic bodywork, running gear from a Toyota BJ45 Land Cruiser and Chevrolet V8 power, it’s been the subject of a recently completed €150,000 restoration and is expected to fetch €400,000 – 800,000.
Other highlights include a five-owner 1967 Citroën DS 21 Cabriolet Chapron with a manual gearbox (estimate €150,000 – 200,000); a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Roadster that was part of Erich Traber’s significant collection from 1981-2017 and shows 22,000km (estimate €120,000 – 160,000); and a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Semi-Lightweight with multiple race wins, notably taking victory at the Tour Auto in 2015, 2016 and 2024 (estimate €300,000 – 400,000).

Oldtimer Galerie heads to Gstaad on 29 December for its annual sale with a brace of Ford GTs among the early consignments. Both Swiss-delivered cars, the two-owner 2006 example has covered 5,800 miles (estimate CHF380,000 – 420,000); while the 2022 car is an ultra-rare Holman Moody Heritage Edition – just 21 produced – offered in ‘as new’ condition (estimate CHF1,100,000 – 1,300,000).
Oldtimer’s 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE was imported into Switzerland in 2022 by the vendor who commissioned a €200,000 restoration at marque specialists in Modena, including interior works by the renowned experts at Tappezzeria Luppi. Now presented in its original Grigio Argento, it has known history from new and received a Veteran MOT in May 2024 and Swiss registration following completion of the restoration (estimate CHF400,000 – 450,000).
