Broad Arrow Auctions Air|Water preview
16 April, 2025
An ultra-rare 1989 RUF CTR Yellowbird is one of the highlights at Broad Arrow Auctions’ second annual Porsche sale at Air|Water on 26 April. One of only 29 built, the model achieved legendary status after winning Road & Track’s top speed challenge in 1987 when it reached 211mph at Nardo (estimate $4,500,000 – 5,500,000).

A brace of low-mileage hyper cars round off the top three; a US-delivered 1,900-mile 2015 918 Spyder Weissach in Martini Racing livery is listed at $2,700,000 – 3,000,000, while a 2005 Carrera GT that’s covered less than 800 miles is expected to fetch $1,800,000 – 2,100,000.

Broad Arrow’s 1966 906 Carrera 6 had been extensively raced in period and formed part of Fabrizio Violati’s renowned Maranello Rosso Collection from 1988 until 2001. Described as being in original condition and coming with a well-documented history, it’s catalogued at $1,600,000 – 1,900,000.

The 1990 911 Reimagined by Singer was completed in March 2023. Specified with a 4.0-litre 390bhp Ed Pink-built air-cooled flat-six engine, ceramic discs and adjustable suspension it has only seen 2,300 miles use since the transformation (estimate $1,050,000 – 1,250,000).
