Coys heads to Germany for its 6 August sale, to be held during the Classic Days festival at Schloss Dyck. Topping the inventory is a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, presented in its original combination of Azzuro/Black leather, with a pre-sale estimate of €700,000 – 800,000. The Daytona was built to European specification and started its life in Beirut, before being brought to Europe in 1978. The car was subjected to a comprehensive restoration from 2009 to 2014 and has travelled just 500 kilometres since.
Notable lots among the Alfa Romeos include a 1942 6C 2500 Super Sprint with Le Mans Berlinetta coachwork (estimate €580,000 – 680,000) and a 1956 1900C SS, sold new in Switzerland, estimated at €250,000 – 275,000.
Also included in the sale are five Porsche 356s; a 1963 B Cabriolet (estimate €115,000 – 125,000); a 1952 Pre A (estimate €190,000 – 200,000); a 1954 Pre A Cabriolet, first owned by the Swedish Royal Family (estimate €320,000 – 350,000); a 1953 Pre A 1500 S, restored by Kauhsen Classic Racing Cars (estimate €250,000 – 290,000): and a 1954 Competition Car (estimate €140,000 – 150,000).
Other highlights include a 1978 BMW M1 (estimate €480,000 – 580,000); a 1973 Maserati Bora, one of only 275 examples produced with a 4.9 litre engine (estimate €170,000 – 200,000); a 31,000-km 2006 Porsche Carrera GT (estimate €550,000 – 625,000); and a one-owner Austin-Healey 3000, delivered new to California (estimate €40,000 – 50,000).
