A freshly restored 1965 Aston Martin DB5 is the star at the Historics at Brooklands sale on 29 August (estimate £575,000 – 625,000). Other highlights include a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Targa, showing zero miles following a full restoration by Porsche Brooklands (estimate £80,000 – 90,000) and a 1973 Iso Fidia, stored since the 1980s, offered with no reserve.
More than 100 cars will go under the hammer at Classic Car Auctions’ two-day CarFest South sale at on 29-30 August. Top lot is a 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Manual Roadster, with a pre-sale estimate of £65,000 – 75,000. Fans of the cult TV series The Prisoner will no doubt recognise the 1965 Morris Mini Moke on offer. One of four vehicles in the show, ‘HLT 709C’ was discovered stored in a barn in Holland, where it had been for many years (estimate £11,500 – 13,500). Also consigned is an ex-Patrick Collection 1983 Austin Metro Vanden Plas 500, which has covered just 741 miles from new and is offered without reserve.
Low mileage entries in ACA’s 22 August sale include a 1975 Porsche 914 which spent most of its life in Milan, still in original livery and now showing just 46,393km, with a pre-sale estimate of £16,000 – 20,000. Top lot is a 2001 BMW Z8, this particular example being one of just 77 produced in Bright Red with Sportred/Black interior.
Meanwhile the one of the highlights of Morris Leslie’s next sale is a one-owner 1995 Renault Clio Williams 2 with only 5990 miles from new, with a pre-sale estimate of £15,000 – 17,000.
