Star attraction is a 1936 Lagonda LG45 Rapide Tourer, one of 25 built, it’s been in single-family ownership since 1958 (estimate £450,000 – 600,000); while a 1954 Bentley R Type Continental Fastback, also with long-term ownership (estimate £450,000 – 550,000), and a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 4.2 Volante Conversion (estimate £250,000 – 300,000) round out the top-three.
A rare, one-of-10, 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 'Crown Edition' which features the uprated engine from the 722 Edition is expected to fetch £200,000 – 300,000. The unregistered one-owner car has been on static display in the Middle East since new, and has recently been serviced and recommissioned by Stratton Motor Company.
Other low-mileage lots on offer include a UK-supplied, 1,700-mile 2006 Ferrari 575M Superamerica (estimate £200,000 – 250,000); an ‘as new’ unregistered 1994 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Convertible with 310 miles that has remained in a private collection at Jaguar since it was built (estimate £100,000 – 120,000); and a 1984 Renault 5 Turbo 2, imported from Japan by the vendor and currently showing 6,500 miles (estimate £50,000 – 70,000).
