Eight Alfa Romeos from Gerald Bugnon’s collection in France are going under the hammer at Osenat’s Fontainebleau sale on 21 April. Jewel in the line-up is the 1969 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 which has been owned by Bugnon since 1997 and is expected to fetch €2,000,000 – 2,500,000. Chassis 75033009 is one of three Tipo 33/2s bought by SOFAR – the French Alfa Romeo importer – in 1969, and it has been the subject of a recent recommissioning after being on static display for the past five years.
Other highlights include a 1964 TZ, exhibited at the 1965 Racing Car Show and restored in 2011 following a class win at the Rallye Historique du Var in the hands of Romain Dumas (estimate €800,000 – 1,200,000); a one-of-44 1963 Giulietta SZ2 Coda Tronca, part of the collection since the end of the ‘90s (estimate €600,000 – 800,000); and a 1962 Giulietta SZ that won the 1962 Coupe du Salon in the 1000/1300 category, and the 1980 Tour Auto (estimate €300,000 – 500,000).

Aguttes will once again host the official sale at this year’s Tour Auto in Paris on 22 April. The boutique auction features 10 cars among the 63 lots on offer, headed by a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0 with a pre-sale estimate of €1,000,000 – 1,400,000. The penultimate of the 54 examples built, it was campaigned extensively in period by Leo Eigner, with the German driver claiming 10 wins and nine 2nd place finishes.
Among the other Porsches set to cross the block is a matching-numbers 1963 356 C Carrera 2000 GS (estimate €400,000 – 600,000); a 2011 911 GT2 RS showing 19,084km at the time of cataloguing (estimate €340,000 – 390,000); and a French-supplied 2003 911 GT3 RS with just over 37,000km (estimate €170,000 – 210,000).
The sale also includes a pair of unused time-warp classics; a 1990 Citroën 2CV Charleston (estimate €30,000 – 50,000) and a 1996 Rover Mini British Open Classic (estimate €20,000 – 40,000) – both one owner cars with only 24km from new.
