Coys’ make their annual visit to Essen for the Techno Classica sale on 9 April, with a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC heading the inventory (estimate €600,000 – 700,000). Chassis 11137 was delivered new to Germany, its first owner being Heinz-Dieter Blatzheim, a racing driver and collector. The car has subsequently formed part of the famous Hans Dürst collection in Switzerland, prior to being sold by Coys in 1998. Since the current owner purchased the car at Coys ’05 Monaco auction it has been sympathetically partly restored and resprayed in its original Rosso Rubino.
Three of BMW’s iconic models also go under the hammer; a 1978 M1, used by BMW as their press car (estimate €550,000 – 650,000); a 1972 3.0 CSL, delivered new to Switzerland and purchased by the current vendor in 2012 through BMW Young Classics (estimate €110,000 – 125,000); and a 1977 2002 turbo (estimate €65,000 – 75,000).
Top lot at Auctionata’s 22 April sale is a 1995 Ferrari F355 Challenge, one of just 72 examples produced (estimate €220,000). Other Ferraris on offer include; the ex-Marc Gene/Vitali Petrov F430 GT3 (estimate €100,000); a 16,313-km 1981 308 GTSi (estimate €120,000); and a 65,732-km 1991 Testarossa (estimate €120,000).
A 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (estimate €150,000 – 200,000) shares the top-billing with an ex-Andretti Lola T91 (estimate €150,000 – 200,000), at Stanislas Machoïr’s 24 April sale. Highlights include; a 1990 BMW M3 Sport Evolution (estimate €80,000 – 100,000); a 1963 Lancia Flaminia GTL Touring (estimate €70,000 – 90,000); and a 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint (estimate €50,000 – 70,000).
